We cant believe it but its true !

NHS England announced today that there would be a £5m 12 bed unit built for under 18s in Cornwall at Bodmin.

After 6 years campaigning the commissioners have finally approved the build. This is brilliant news for the children and their families for Cornwall and we cant thank enough all the many, many people who have campaigned with us.

Phil Confue and his team at Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust have always allowed Invictus to work with them and we are simply delighted. The local media particularly Laurence Reed at Radio Cornwall and Jenny Walrond at BBC Spotlight have been strong voices and we are eternally grateful to the West Briton and Pirate FM for all their coverage. Sarah Newton MP and George Eustice MP have always supported and special mention must go to Candy Atherton and the local Liberal Democrats who recently invited Norman Lamb to visit.

There are simply too many fundraisers and “stigma breakers” to mention but thank you to all of you – you know who you are!

The build should start in 2018 and be complete in 2019…watch this space….
